In the early seventies Dot Otto, along with her husband, Norman, started making unique candles out of the basement of their home to compliment her flower shop in St. James, Minnesota.
By 1974, the flower shop had outgrown the basement of their home. Dot's Studio of Flowers, Candles and Gifts opened up the doors in the old Dr. Pepper Bottling Company Building located on the east end of the St. James business district
Dot's Studio features plants along with cut flower arrangements and a wide selection of gifts for all occasions. Including crystal and hand crafted Seri Indian Ironwood artwork.
