Goldfield Telecom

Business in Goldfield, IA

Goldfield Telecom began in 1993 as a small company in Iowa buying and selling digital switching equipment on the secondary market, comprised of Independent Telephone Companies in the Midwest. With the "dot com" crash of the late 90's, came a tsunami of used switching equipment which effectively collapsed the used equipment market and changed Goldfield’s business plan to include:

  • First and foremost, a focus on providing solutions to applications for our customers as part of the sales process.
  • Partnering with Manufacturers that build leading edge technology and best of breed products.
  • Field a Regional Sales Team that is second to none in technical expertise, professionalism, with a commitment to find the best fit of product to application.
  • Make sure the Inside Sales Staff has the tools and knowledge necessary for fast, accurate, secure online equipment quotations. A Support staff that is equally qualified to help in any way.
  • To utilize our affiliation with sister companies – Goldfield Access Network (CLEC), North Central Wireless (PSC), Goldfield Communications (CATV) and Goldfield Telephone Company (ILEC) to provide “in house” test beds, allowing us to evaluate every product in numerous applications before we put t hem in our product lineup.

At first, a handful of Access and DSL Manufacturers provided us with new products to sell, and slowly Goldfield Telecom the Telecommunications Distributor took shape and grew. What then were a few Vendors now are many, giving us a broad range of technologies and products available to a customer mix of: ILEC's, CELEC's, Government/Education, Wireless Carriers, ISP’s and Enterprise businesses. Not only is Goldfield Telecom a recognized leader in the distribution of telecommunication equipment, we also provide installation services, technical/engineering support, and custom integration of outside plant enclosures.

Goldfield Telecom has grown in sales and customers every year since 1993. We haven’t changed our focus or commitment to our customers – we’re big enough to do the job, reach across many markets and maintain a personal touch with each of our customers. And that’s just how we like it.

So, as we look to the future, Goldfield Telecom will continue to bring our customers the most up-to-date technology at competitive prices. Give us a call – we’ll answer.
