About Stuart, NE

Stuart is a small piece of heaven that is tucked into the beautiful Nebraska Sandhills. Stuart was first settled in 1879. The town was named for Peter Stuart, the original owner of the town site. Stuart grew around a depot established in 1881 on the Fremont, Elkhorn and Missouri Valley Railroad. Located at the edge of the Nebraska Sandhills, Stuart is a community full of pride and life. We would love to have you stop in for a visit. You can stay a few minutes, hours or days. Either way we will make you feel at home and welcome you in. After your time, you may just not want to ever leave.
