Welcome to Hay Creek Mutual Insurance Company. We are located at 109 Broadway Ave, Goodhue, MN. We are a statewide company that writes primarily in southern Minnesota. We have 13 agencies that are located throughout Minnesota. Our agencies are located in Goodhue, Lake City, Zumbrota, Rochester, Stewartville, Owatonna, Lakeville, Burnsville, Blooming Prairie, Willmar and Wykoff, Minnesota.
Hay Creek Mutual was incorporated and commenced business as a township mutual by the farmers of Hay Creek Township in Goodhue County on February 10, 1879, under the name Hay Creek Mutual Fire Insurance Company. In 1998 the name was amended to Hay Creek Mutual Insurance Company. We are owned by the policyholders of Hay Creek Mutual. There are seven Board Members and three employees. Our knowledgeable staff is here to answer questions and offer help to our customers and agents. We continue to strive to provide great service and affordable farm and home coverage. We work to meet the individual needs of each customer to develop the best possible coverage for your property.
We work closely with Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance which provides our reinsurance coverage. Grinnell Mutual is Rated A: VIII in the 2016 Best’s Insurance Guide and is also reinsured through Lloyd’s of London and in the domestic reinsurance markets to limit losses to a safe maximum.
