With over 450 members, the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce works to promote area business and industry. Listed below are some of the benefits offered through a Chamber Membership.
- Bulk Mailing - Members with bulk mailings of more than 200 pieces can use the chamber bulk mailing permit and save on postage. Call for details on how we can help you save money on your direct mail piece.
- Business After Hours - Members are offered the opportunity to host this quarterly event. It’s a perfect way to showcase your business to fellow members, and network with other members.
- Business Referrals - The chamber office receives many inquires seeking business referrals. We ALWAYS recommend members FIRST!
- Calendar of Events - The chamber website contains an up to date calendar of events. Contact the office to guarantee your event is listed.
- Chamber Bucks - Individuals can purchase Chamber Bucks, which are used like gift certificates, and use them at participating member businesses.
- Committees - Members and their employee team members have the opportunity to help present the area’s biggest and best events. Volunteering to be a committee member is a opportunity to give back to the Clear Lake Community.
- Legislative Issues - Members are kept informed of State and National Legislative Issues that affect business. Members may also participate in helping to set the chambers legislative agenda.
- Mailing Labels - Members have access to one free set of labels per year (more than 600 business contacts). Additional sets are available for $10.
- Conference Room - The chamber’s board room is available for use free of charge to members. Non-Members fee is $25. Check with the chamber office for availability.
- Networking - In addition to the monthly “Business After Hours.” The chamber offers opportunities to network with fellow business people at Legislative Lunches, Annual Membership Meeting, Seminars and Special Events.
- Newsletter - “Around The Lake” is a quarterly publication which offers advertising opportunities to members. It is emailed to over 450 businesses. New members receive one free insert in “Around The Lake”.
- Seminars - The chamber offers informational seminars on local, state and national legislative issues as well as customer service training.
- Sponsorship Opportunities - The chamber offers numerous opportunities for members to promote their business through event sponsorship's. Sponsorship's are available through several annual events including the Annual Meeting, Golf Outing, Legislative Forums, Thursdays on Main, 4th of July, Harvest Festival, Christmas by the Lake and more. - Website - The chamber maintains a tourism website, www.clearlakeiowa.com, listing chamber and community events, a membership directory, links to city & county agencies and local economic development organizations. Advertising opportunities are available for chamber members on the chamber website.
