First weekend in October! The event is a celebration of Lake City's local apple economy, and abundant fall harvest of apples.
The festival is held near the peak of the spectacular fall foliage, making Lake City a great fall destination. Events include: arts and craft fair, book sale, farmers market, games, apple pie and bake sale, and silent auction. The orchards in the Lake City area produce about one-fourth of the 700,000 bushels of apples grown in Minnesota each year. The Lake City area, including Pepin Heights orchard is the nation's largest producer of the Haralson variety of apple.
