Winterset is a vibrant and growing community and well known for its Covered Bridges. That is why they celebrate, each year. Winterset has much to offer with its canopied, tree-lined street, beautiful downtown square, coming alive with hanging flower backers every spring, and great shopping.

The Madison County Historical Complex is second to none and worth your time to see. Don’t forget to visit their beautiful and well-kept parks. In November and December their City park is transformed into “Winterset Wonderland”. This is a great light show that will be enjoyed by young and old alike. Let’s not forget John Wayne and his birthplace museum. Above all make sure you get your picture taken with the “Duke” one of the most recognized figures in America.
